A new initiative in Wagga to assist people on low incomes to purchase essential household goods like fridges, washing machines, freezers or medical equipment such as nebulisers. NILS Wagga is a branch of a nationwide organisation that gives loans without interest or any other charges to approved applicants. Repayments are tailored to the ability of the person. Conditions include: low income, have lived in the area for at least 6 months in the same home and have no other debts. Not for emergency situations as it generally takes a month to process.
