About North Queensland Workforce Unit

Recruitment and retention of health professionals in the Qld Health zonal area of North Qld. Recipients of the program and predominantly nursing, medical, allied health and Indigenous health workers employed by Qld Health. Programs include, health workforce planning and analysis, endorsed courses in immunisation, rural and isolated practice, child health, sexual and reproductive health, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health accredited short courses, cert IV Workplace Assessment and Training, cultural awareness, allied health mentoring which includes professional enhancement program for rural and remote practice, peer support and promotes the use of technology to increase health knowledge.
