About Northern Beaches Community Care Packages

Community Aged Care Packages are planned and coordinated services to help older people remain at home, rather than going into low level (hostel) care. Typical services include work around the house, personal care, meal preparation, transport, socialisation, lawn mowing, garden maintenance, bill paying, shopping, medicine monitoring and organisation of social activities. Note that for recipients of the Aged Pension, the maximum that may be charged for a CACP is 17.5% of the basic pension rate.
