Aims to reduce the consequences of hearing loss for eligible clients.nnThe Office of Hearing Services funds hearing services from a range of public and private providers to deliver three main types of services which includes providing hearing services for eligible adult clients through a voucher system; providing services to clients with special needs (including children and young adults under 21, eligible Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, eligible clients with complex hearing rehabilitation needs and eligible clients who live in remote areas); and conducting research.nnUnder the voucher system, the Office of Hearing Services issues vouchers to eligible clients who can then choose from a range of over 180 accredited service providers.
