About Oracle Psychology: Dyslexia & Learning Assessments

Learning difficulties (including Dyslexia) can affect a variety of children and come in many different forms. Some children may struggle due to global weaknesses related to intellectual disability. Other children may be intellectually capable but have underlying weaknesses which make it difficult for them to achieve in the classroom. Others still may have concentration difficulties related to conditions such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). rnrnIdentifying the reasons for your child's learning weaknesses starts with a complete learning assessment by a Child & Adolescent Psychologist. Psychologists can assess an individual's overall abilities using standardised and evidence based tests. A complete assessment can include intelligence testing, academic functioning, memory evaluation and neuropsychological assessment.rn rnOnce a full assessment is completed the Psychologist will provide a comprehensive psychological report with details on how best to help your child. The report will include any relevant diagnoses, suggestions for intervention and recommendations for home and school. rnrnIf your child is struggling academically and not reaching their potential in the classroom they may benefit from a learning assessment. We can help you identify any individual strengths and weaknesses to better inform the decisions regarding your child's learning. If a learning disorder is identified your child may qualify for Special Provisions in formal exams and will raise awareness with their teachers. rnrnCall us today on 02 4929 2223.
