About Orana/Far West Dementia Respite Service

The Orana/Far West Dementia Respite Service is provided in the area covered by the Orana, Western Plains, and Far West Home Care Service of NSW branches, and aims to support carers by providing an in-home, and/or out of home respite service for carers of people with Dementia and associated challenging behaviours which restricts their access to existing services. This particularly includes carers on farms and in remote communities where distance prevents access to current services.nThe Respite Service will provide short term planned and emergency respite, both in-home and out of home, to eligible clients
