The Department provides for inpatients and out patients. nPaediatric OT who works with children from the Helensburg to Kiama area who have a physical disability, have normal to mild intellectual abilities and are in mainstream schools.nAim is to maximise independent function at home and at school. nWaiting period of approx 4 weeks.nDriving Assessment of driving ability and retraining where necessary. A cost of $40 covers the use of a private driving instructor. A cost of $165 is incurred for non-health care card holders, and $100 for card holders. nIf lessons are required, the cost is negotiated between the client and the driving instructor. nThe driving assessment can be self referred but their GP must fill out formsnWaiting period of 1-3 months.nDiversional therapists assist in rehabilitation.nSelf referral accepted for all services except the Community Domicillary assessment.
