About Privacy NSW
Privacy NSW is the Office of the New South Wales nPrivacy Commissioner. The role of the Privacy NSW is to promote and protect nthe right to privacy by * advising individuals, government agencies and nbusiness organisations on what action they can take to protect the right to nprivacy * assisting New South Wales Government agencies to comply with their nobligations under the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act and the nHealth Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 * researching significant ndevelopments in policy, law and technology which have an impact on privacy nand making reports and recommendations to relevant authorities * ninvestigating, and where possible conciliating, complaints about breaches of nprivacy * answering enquiries and educating the community about privacy nissues.
