Treatment arrangements: Hospitals Repatriation private patient scheme plus; podiatry (with Dr's referral most private podiatrists will bulk bill veterans including cost of home visit if this visit is necessary); free ambulance service; general dental treatment; private nursing, chiropractic & osteopathic - referral from local GP for 8 treatments over 12 month period, physiotherapy, rehabilitation appliances, spectacles.nWives of Veterans who are TPI or were prisoner's of war will automatically be awarded the Widow's pension with Gold Card on the death of their spouse. Widows of other veterans can apply for this pension if the spouse's death can be related to their war service.
