About Repatriation Private Patient Scheme - Hospital Approvals

The Repatriation Private Patient Scheme (RPPS) provides care in public hospitals, former repatriation hospitals and selected private hospitals for eligible veterans, war widows and widowers. nDVA will pay for hospital treatment and associated medical fees (non-medical expenses) for all medical conditions and innall hospitals for DVA Gold Card holders. nFor White Card holders, DVA will pay all hospital and medical treatment for war or service-caused accepted disabilities (non-medical expenses may not be included), and the treatment of malignant cancer, pulmonary tuberculosis, or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) if these conditions are accepted by DVA.nFinancial authorisation from DVA is required prior to admission into a contracted nonVeteran Partnering private hospital or non-contracted private hospitals. The referring Doctor or Hospital should contact the above number for approval.
