The ResMed clinic conducts studies for people who may have sleep apnoea. Referral is required from local doctor for study and treatment. The study is done at the patients home, patient needs to go to the clinic for an hour to be shown how to conduct the study, patient is required to wear the machine while sleeping for 8 hours and the clinic sends the study to a respiratory specialist to read. If the results confirm that the patient has sleep aponea and they require the machine they are encouraged to have a 1 month trial on the Resmed CPAP machine before purchasing.
