About Royal Rehabilitation Centre - Coorabel Adult Rehabilitation Service (CARS)

CARS provides multidisciplinary rehabilitation programs following illness, injury or surgery and an amputee program. Clients are typically of working age. The service aims to help people return to the community with the best possible quality of life. CARS is staffed by professional staff including: medical staff, nursing staff, social worker, speech pathologist, dietitian, clinical psycologist, occupational therapists, physiotherapists (including hydrotherapy), neuropsychologist and recreational therapist. Discharge planning looks at all the possible ongoing needs that each client may have and ensures that arrangements are made with local community support services and local medical practitioners, as appropriate, prior to discharge. Provides inpatient and outpatient services. Links with Ryde Aged Care Rehab Service.
