The Shire of Coolgardie has 2 shire offices one in Coolgardie and the other in Kambalda. The facilities in this Shire are the Coolgardie Recreation Centre which caters for an extensive array of indoor activities that include a fully equipped gym, aerobics, kindy gym, tennis , badmington, basketball and netball. The centre also runs a comprehensive school holiday program. There is also a swimming pool complex and a rec reserve with an oval, netball courts, a running track and can be used for gymkhanas. In the town is a child-care centre, a youth centre and a Senior's centre.
