- Assessment and retraining, including community visits.n- Home visits and recommendations for support rails, ramps, home safety, equipment.n- Recommendations for adaptive aids and equipment.n- They hire out equipment to Shoalhaven patients. nEquipment hire requires an OT assessment first (can be done by another hospital). Hospital patients take priority. nThey need to do an assessment of needs at the persons home before they will loan out equipment, or have a referral from another OT.n- Driving assessment and retraining.n- Splinting of the upper limb. n- Therapy following Brain Injury and for Cognitive Difficulties (e.g Stroke, Alzheimers).n- Burns and scar management.n- Practical education in health promotion.n- Professional resource member for Community Groups and services.n(Some of these services are dependent on staffing levels)
