The Smith Family is an independent, non-religious, non political not for profit organisation that has been helping disadvantage Australians since 1922.The Smith Family believe all Australians are entitled to equal opportunity and seek practical and effective programs to help families avoid a cycle of poverty. Learning for Life: Educational scholarships with education Support worker Scholarships are offered to students whose families meet the eligibility criteria of low income and a commitment to their child's education. The scholarship provides financial support between $204pa and $2000pa depending on school year at school and education support. The education support may include provision of information and advice, assisting parents discuss with the school any difficulties their child maybe experiencing and informing the Education department about inequalities existing within the education system for disadvantage students.
