Free Dental Service for Children under 18 years, adults with Healthcare Card or on Pension, living in St. George, Sutherland and Eastern Suburbs areas. You will be asked some questions about your dental health over the phone. Depending how urgent your situation is you will either be given an appointment to see a dentist or told approximately how long you can expect to wait for treatment. It may also be possible to access a home visiting dental service. The dentist/dental therapist will tell you what treatment you need and the options available. The treatment will be explained to you before it is done. Interpreters are available free of charge to attend the dental appointment, although it may be difficult to arrange an interpreter for urgent treatment. An interpreter can be arranged for your first appointment and the dentist will determine whether an interpreter is needed for future treatment. Information about the availability of and access to dental vouchers is also available.
