SCI Advocacy * Supports people with severe physical disabilities in dealing with service providers by accompanying them to meetings and writing letters and making phone calls on their behalf * Lobbies the government to change policies and practises that disadvantage people with severe physical disabilities * Lobbies the government to introduce benefits and services which will help people with severe physical disabilities live as independently as possible in the community * Publishes Accord magazine each quarter, sends it to members, other people with disabilities, rehabilitation/disability organisations and to every politician in Australian * Runs campaigns in the media to create an awareness of the problems which confront people with severe physical disabilities
