SCI operates a number of accommodation facilities, some of which are supported, in and around Sydney and Coffs Harbour. Where no staff are on-site, the individual residents are responsible for arranging their own personal care through the Home Care Service or, if eligible, the Attendant Care Program. nA new facility in Collaroy is currently being planned by SCI. It will consist of eight separate self-contained units, each with its own private entrance but with access to common areas for all residents. One unit will provide family accommodation and two of the units will be equipped to cater for people who are ventilator dependent. The new facility will be transitional in nature and will provide a rehabilitation focus designed to enable residents to move into community living as soon as possible.
