About St George Home Modification and Maintenance Service (St George Community Services)

The service provides minor home modifications eg. internal/external ramps, bathroom modifications, plumbing repairs, repairs to guttering, windows, doors, floors and steps, installation of handrails, grab rails, hand held showers. Also provides advice on building related matters for frail aged people, people with disabilities and their carers. The job requests are placed in priority order and the client is asked to pay a subsidised hourly rate for labour and the cost of materials. Financial assistance may be provided. May also arrange a one off clearing of yard by subcontract gardeners.nProvides a Higher Home modification scheme which caters for people with complex needs.
