Carer support Project offers information about Home and Community Care (HACC) and other services, referral to those services, emotional support to carers over the telephone, support groups for carers in a friendly atmosphere, a regular newsletter called Carers Corner, educational and recreational programs and information for carers, a voice for carers as a group, advocacy, support group for carers of people with dementia. Has a collection of books, DVDs and videos on various caring topics which carers may borrow for up to a month.We also have support groups for carers from Greek, Chinese and Arabic speaking backgrounds. We have two bi ligual workers supporting these groups and also use interpreters where needed. We also resource a support group for carers of children and young people with a disability
