About Sutherland Shire Community Nurses

Provides nursing services in the client's home and creates a crucial link between the community and the hospital system. Services are provided by enrolled and registered nurses and include: holistic general assessments, wound management, supervision of medication, personal care, health education and information and referral to other services. Assistance with showering may be provided but only if and whilst the patient is medically unstable.
