At TAD, we believe that every individual has the right to equal opportunity and affordable equipment. Our custom built items are often produced at a fraction of the cost of any alternative solution. We also modify existing equipment to improve its suitability for the individual client. It all began in 1975. A small group of engineers led by George Winston AM decided to use their skills to profoundly change the lives of people with disabilities.Today, TAD’s core workforce consists of over 250 skilled volunteers who donate thousands of hours to designing, building and modifying more than 1,000 diverse items in NSW every year.CUSTOM DESIGNED EQUIPMENTOur skilled volunteers build and modify items to help people with disabilities and seniors to live more independently. Thanks to TAD volunteers, quadriplegic mums have special cots, prams and change tables to meet their exact needs.
