About The Cottage Day Care Centre

The Cottage is a day care centre for people with a diagnosed dementing illness. It provides social activities in a group environment and regular respite for the carer. Potential clients are assessed by the Coordinator at home to determine if their needs can be met at the centre. Transport to and from the centre is available. The centre can take 15 clients per day, the Cottage staff consist of a Registered Nurse (coordinator), Assistant in Nursing, Diversional Therapist, and Driver/general assistant. Waiting period 2-3 weeks or as indicated by Coordinator. Located in the same centre as "The Retreat" but they are separate services.
