Service Description:nThe general function of the Ombudsman is to investigate complaints concerning administrative actions taken in Government departments, statutory bodies, or by officers and employees of municipal councils. The Ombudsman also receives complaints against members of the Police Force, investigates certain complaints, and oversees and monitors the investigation by police of complaints. Specialist Disability Information Services are funded to provide up-to-date and accessible information for people with a disability, their family, carers, and service providers which supports self-management and client choice, and to promote community awareness of general or specific disability issues.
