About University of the Third Age (U3A) - Kiama

A social group that was established in 1999. Most members have retired from the workforce and want to keep physically, mentally and socially active.nThe emphasis is on learning for pleasure.nU3A offer a wide range of subjects - from science to tap dancing. nNew timetable produced each term, fee for some courses.nSubjects are chosen through suggestions from members. nTalk (guest speakers) at North Kiama Community Centre each Monday afternoon for a gold coin donation. nSome social outings may be offered from time to time as well eg Exhibitions at the NSW Art Gallery.nMost groups/lectures/talks are held at the North Kiama Neighbourhood Centre but some are held at other locations. Locations of all activities are noted on the timetables.
