About Victims' Assistance and Counselling Program - North and West

Promotes recovery by providing a range of services for women, men, young people and children who have experienced or witnessed violent crimes. Crimes include family violence, all forms of assault and murder. Services provided include - n- Victims of Crime Support Services - Services include crisis intervention, practical support, referral to appropriate services and telephone and personal counselling for victims of crime.n- Outreach Victims of Crime Support Services - victims of crime assistance program.n- Victims of Crime Support Services - crisis and short-term counselling, practical support, advocacy in negotiating the legal system such as making police statements and victim-impact statements as well as preparation and support during court cases, assistance with inquiries about victim of crime compensation, referral to other services, community education, secondary consultation and information about victims' rights, trauma and the impact of crime.
