About Victorian Cooperative on Children's Services for Ethnic Groups (VICSEG)

VICSEG is an information and resource centre providing advocacy for and on behalf of parents from non English speaking backgrounds.nServices include a newsletter, workshops, seminars, forums and publications. Information is available in languages other than English.nThe main function of VICSEG is to provide information on children's services for immigrants and refugees from non English speaking backgrounds and to assist them with their child care needs.nIt also ensures that policy and decision makers and service providers are aware of the needs of immigrant families from non English speaking backgrounds.nFamilies are linked with other services via family support and youth workers.nCommunity languages spoken include Afrikaans, Arabic, Armenian, Cantonese,nMandarin and Somali.
