About Waverley/ Botany - Home Library Service

A personal lending service, by means of a delivery van is offered to those who are housebound or confined to nursing homes and are unable because of age, sickness or other incapacity, to visit the library. This is a cooperative service which is organised by Waverley Council for residents of Waverley and Botany. Registration for the service requires certification by a doctor, nurse, meals-on-wheels worker, or other suitably qualified person.nItems are chosen according to borrower profiles and are delivered fortnightly. Up to 10 books may be borrowed. There are also talking books, spoken word CDs, music CDs, videos, DVDs and magazines. Books in other languages are available. If a book in a particular language is not currently in the library, it can be arranged to be brought in for client.
