About Wesley Mission, Community Support Services - Carer Respite

This service offers respite for carers, whether they look after young or elderly people. In home services include recreational activities (gardening, walking, exercise, music, games); assistance with daily living skills (meal or drink preparation, bed making, clothes washing, sweeping & vacuuming); personal care activities in the absence of a carer (toileting, feeding or showering). Out of home services (available only occasionally during a period of respite) includes activities such as library, lunch, shopping or picnics. Respite may be weekends or after hours. 3 hours respite per carer is offered. Cost can be negotiated for those experiencing financial difficulties.
