Clients need to call the Call Centre to arrange an appointment. Clients will be asked a number of questions to ascertain how soon an appointment is required. If the client is in a lot of pain they will be given an appointment at the earliest available time for a clinical assessment, if there is no pain the client will be put on a waiting list. An application form needs to be filled in before assessment (staff need to witness client's signature). If the clinic is unable to give the client an appointment for treatment within a reasonable time frame and the pain is severe they may issue a voucher to the client to take to a private dentist who is registered with this program. Waiting list is based on assessment and client's clinical needs. Remind client's to have their Health Care Card, Pension Concession Card, Commonwealth Seniors Health Card and Medicare card with them when they phone the Call Centre.
