Albany Community Hospice

Set on the Albany Hospital site, the Hospice is available to all Palliative patients for symptom control, respite care and terminal care. Patients Family/carer support and understanding is provided in a home-like environment. Bereavement Support Service available. Palliative Care Service are for patients with a 'life threatening illness', allows them full palliative care support and admission to the Hospice. Silver chain provides community support under the guidance of the PCS. Albany Community Hospice is located within the hospital grounds and is both a private and public service. It has 4 beds and can access all allied health and medical professionals from the hospital . Provides some mobility and personal care equipment and meals to immediate family when needed. New Horizons Complementary Therapy Unit have a room at the hospice and aims to implement complementary therapies in conjunction with traditional medical treatment to produce positive results for patients.
