Alma Street Centre

The Alma Street Centre provides a comprehensive and integrated psychiatric service to the LGAs of East Fremantle, Melville, Fremantle, Cockburn. There are also inpatient services for residents in the LGAs of Kwinana, Rockingham and Peel who have local community based services available. All services are based on a multidisciplinary team approach related to either specific services or local government areas. The service provides community, outpatient and inpatient care for adults aged 18-64 years with severe and disabling mental illness.The Alma Street Centre provides acute psychiatric admission for adults and older people. (66) beds are provided at the Alma Street Centre in four wards: Ward W4.1 has 10 secure beds. Ward W4.2 has 20 open beds (Peel and Rockingham-Kwinana residents) Ward W5.1 has 20 open beds ( Fremantle residents) Ward W4.3 has 16 secure beds for those > 65 yo and live in the Peel, Rockingham Kwinana and Fremantle area.
