City of Cockburn has a Family Support Service that provides counselling, information, advocacy and referral services to residents of the southern suburbs of the City of Cockburn free of charge.They offer free short term counselling, information and referrals to support networks for anyone who has experienced: stress divorce/ separation depression relationship issues parenting personal development domestic violence other welfare related matters A variety of groups and activities are also available This service has an office at the Atwell Community Centre, but also runs groups and workshops in other centres including Yangebup and South Lake Family Centres. I recently had a 5 day holiday for a family get together, and I had a friend from Sydney stay in my unit to look after my cat as I could not take here with us. Sadly, one of our neighbor's put a note on her car window, that she was not allowed to park the car there, and that she had been reported to Department of Housing. the spot she parked in is a spare spot, and not parking has been officially allocated to tenants. I spoke to dept of housing about this, and was told it was quite ok for me to have a visitor stay, and for them to use that car space and that they would notify all the tenants of this. But to date nothing has happened, and I have another trip away coming up soon, and really don't want this to happen again. Any advice would be appreciated.
