Banyule Support and Information Centre

Banyule Support and Information centre is a community based voluntary information and referral service, staffed by trained personnel, most of whom are volunteers. Services provided include - - Information and support - Legal advice - offered weekly on wednesdays from 7pm by local practising solicitors. - Counselling - offered once a fortnight on Tuesday morning by a qualified psychologist. - Centrelink assistance - this service is for those who for some reason are unable or hesitant to go to the Centrelink office for help. Able to help with client enquiries regarding eligibility, entitlements, pensions and payments. - Tax help - available to pensioners, retirees and low income wage earners. Available mid July to end of Oct yearly. - Budgeting advice - provide advice on how to organise everyday finances and balance expenses with income. - Financial assistance - emergency relief, back to school assistance, Telstra bill assistance program and utility relief grant scheme.

I’m currently in treatment at canarven street and I have been working for over a year now and it’s difficult to get to the chemist on time and to see anyone at canarven street because of my work hours, I have been put on daily pick ups until 30/11/2022 when I do a test. This was changed from weekly to daily because I came in and did a sample and it wasn’t registering a temperature or anything in my sample including methadone which is impossible so my worker assumed that I was trying it on somehow and put me on daily pick ups. It was definitely a faulty test and because I didn’t hang around to do another one, she thought the worst, I understand why but I’m working away soon and I will need a 3-4 day take out but can’t get hold of my worker no matter how many messages I leave she is always busy and never calls me back so what can I do??? I’m working away in Belfast this month
