Bethshan Lodge

Bethshan is one of Uniting Church Homes' country facilities, located in Katanning -the 'heart of the Great Southern'. Bethshan provides 26 low care places (including one respite). All rooms are individual with fourteen of these having their own ensuite. There are four 'blocks' with all residents coming to a central dining area for meals. Shared lounges, activity and quiet areas are also available to residents and visitors in each block. Bethshan Lodge accesses Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapist services to plan for an activities program carried out by Therapy Assistants. Residents have the opportunity to go on bus outings. Meals are provided in dining room by Bethshan Lodge staff. Regular church services are held at Bethshan Lodge. There is a Therapy session held each morning and may comprise of Bingo, Craft, Cooking or Reading.

Dryandra Hostel is a low care 26 bed accredited facility, with ageing in place, providing permanent and respite accommodation and care to frail and aged residents. A local GP visits every week ; There is nursing support through the hospital and residents have regular visits to the podiatrist at the hospital ; Therapy assessments are done by a visiting OT; Local churches hold regular services ; Hairdresser visits weekly ; and there is volunteer support from community members . Aged Care Assessment Team (Northam) Referrals from a Medical Practitioner and the Aged Care Assessment Team are required for entry to Dryandra.
