Gold Coast Blue Care Community Services Akirra Cottage Centre-based care for aged and disabled, transport assistance available to get clients to Centre. Saturday respite care for young adults with a disability. Domestic assistance mainly for veterans, through Vet Home Care, however may be able to offer HACC service if client is needing other services (subject to funding). In-home respite, limited personal care (HACC). Also provides social support e.g. client assisted shopping, escort to appointments. Transport available to take residents from Tallebudgera, Currumbin Valley through to Palm Beach to The Pines. Similiar service takes clients from Tallebudgera, Currumbin Valley through to Palm Beach to doctors, John Flynn, Tweed Hospitals, Coolangatta, Tweed Mall or appointments en route. Van has wheelchair access, $5 round trip (Bookings through Gold Coast Mobility Office). Area covers Hooker Boulevard to the border, parts of Mudgeeraba and Tallai.
