BreastScreen Queensland is a statewide program that provides free, high quality breast cancer screening services for women over 40. BreastScreen at Chermside is an assessment centre and screening centre. Satellite services also available at Brisbane City, Indooroopilly and Redcliffe as well as a mobile service. Breastscreening involves taking a x-ray of the breasts and supporting tissue. It is done by specially trained radiographers who will explain the test to clients before examination.
