Family support service staffed by registered nurses who specialise in child and family health. Nurses provide information, advice and support to parents and carers in areas of parenting such as: feeding, crying, growth and development, child safety, discipline, toilet training, care of minor illnesses, dental health. Nurses provide services such as; physical checks, observation feeding, parenting discussion groups, toddler management groups, specialist lactation clinic, home visiting, referrals to paediatrician, social workers and other agencies, interpreters.
