Canterbury Mens Shed

The Canterbury Mens Shed is a place where skilled and unskilled men can share time with each other, swap yarns and work together on community projects. It is particularly aimed at men in the community who are 55 years +, to wards older men who are retired, for those who have downsized living arrangements and for those who feel isolated. It is also seen as a shed substitute for those men who had lost their backyard shed for a variety of reasons. The Shed offers a fully equipped workshop with hand, electric and bench-mounted tools, materials and interesting projects to do. It will also provide an activity were men can network, address mens health issues and participate in community activities raising self esteem. Shed participation enhances mental, physical and emotional well being of members.
