Carer Support Groups (Alzheimer's Assoc)-MSW

Behaviour Management

There are 21 Carer Support Groups meeting monthly in the metro area . These groups bring together carers, relatives, and friends of individuals with dementia under the guidance of a group leader. Members learn skills and strategies from each other and from guest speakers on topics such as difficult behaviour, communication and legal matters.Info is also available on local community resources. The 4 MSW groups are:- BOORAGOON-Anne Reid Room, Booragoon Civic Square Library, 10 Almondbury Rd. 3rd Thurs of the mth,12noon-2pm MANDURAH :- Lotteries Hse,Anzac Pl.; Tel-9535 8772; 4th Fri of the mth. 10am-12noon. MELVILLE:- Melville Cares Memories Cafe,Jean Barton Hse. Wed 12.30-2.30pm.Tel=9388 2800 ROCKINGHAM = venue tba. Mrs Jean Friend- 9592 7675 .2nd Wed of the mth.1.30pm-3.30pm.
