Community Restorative Centre - Hunter Project

Hunter Project provides transitional and family support. FAMILY SUPPORT is to work with communities as crime and prison can break down family and other relationships. By providing support to families, we help people to stay connected and support each other. CRC assists families through casework support, advice, counselling and working with other agencies. TRANSITIONAL SUPPORT is activating change with CRC providing support services to people making the stressful transition from prison to the wider community. We aim to reduce the incidence of people re-offending and returning to prison. They provide 3 months of pre-release support and information to prisoners. The program also operates for up to 1 year after release and can help with employment, health, finances, housing, identification and debt issues.

Hi my name is Emma and I am a single mum of two teenagers and I am in need of help with a food Voucher and fuel voucher. I am and have been struggling financially for quite some time now and don't like asking for help, with minimum help from centrelink due to the kids ages and not being classed as a single mum and only one shift a week at work my situation has become worse and am not breaking even to pay rent and my other bills. There is no money left over for groceries or fuel. Can someone help please?
