The Compeer program brings sensitive, caring individuals and people diagnosed with a mental health disorder together, in a one-to-one relationship. Social recreation groups for adults. Referrals can be made by anyone. May then request referral from your therapist or health professional. Also social support service - Volunteers are matched with a client to provide social support and companionship. The client has the final say whether the relationship goes ahead. Volunteers are unable to administer medications. Always needing new volunteers.

I’m currently in treatment at canarven street and I have been working for over a year now and it’s difficult to get to the chemist on time and to see anyone at canarven street because of my work hours, I have been put on daily pick ups until 30/11/2022 when I do a test. This was changed from weekly to daily because I came in and did a sample and it wasn’t registering a temperature or anything in my sample including methadone which is impossible so my worker assumed that I was trying it on somehow and put me on daily pick ups. It was definitely a faulty test and because I didn’t hang around to do another one, she thought the worst, I understand why but I’m working away soon and I will need a 3-4 day take out but can’t get hold of my worker no matter how many messages I leave she is always busy and never calls me back so what can I do??? I’m working away in Belfast this month
