Consumer, Trader & Tenancy Tribunal
The Tribunal has jurisdiction to hear and determine matters under the Consumer, Trader and Tenancy Tribunal Act 2001. The Tribunal determines matters under eight divisions: tenancy, general, home building, motor vehicles, residential parks, strata and community schemes, commercial, and retirement villages. The purpose is to provide quick, informal and inexpensive resolution of disputes. Parties to applications represent themselves in most matters. Pre-application advice is available from Fair Trading Centre (FTC) on 133 220. An interpreter will be provided at tribunal hearings where needed. The Tribunal is a statewide service and has registries in Tamworth, Newcastle, Wollongong, Penrith, Parramatta, Sydney, Liverpool & Hurstville.
