CRCC: Mental Health Respite Program
The program is an Australian Government new initiative that forms part of the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) National Action Plan on Mental Health. The main objective of the program is to support and give priority of service access to: ~Carers of people with mental illness/psychiatric disability; Carers of people with intellectual disability; Carers over 65 years of age, Indigenous Carers over 50 years of age who are the primary Carers of children, including adult children. ~Carers of any age who care for people with a mental illness/psychiatric disability or intellectual disability who require crisis respite care (unplanned respite). ~Carers of people with severe and profound conditions or challenging behaviours: Autism Spectrum Disorders including Aspergers.
