The York MDRT was created to provide education, support and respite to carers and people with dementia. The service, which is funded by the Commonwealth National Respite for Carers, assists families in accessing community-based respite services based in the Central Wheat belt and part of the Upper Great Southern Region. On average the Team travels a 200km radius from York . Services provided are:- Support and Case Management- The Team will continue to offer support to the family throughout the time the person with dementia is living at home. Ongoing respite program - Regular community-based respite is offered to families through a variety of models including: In-Home Respite Host Family Respite This provides a social club for an average of three people in the earlier stages of dementia in the home of a care worker. Each home is known as a "Host Club" and clients usually enjoy various activities such as art and crafts.

Clinical service providing assessment and treatment interventions through individual or group sessions as well as medical treatments. Stepping Stones rehab programme available only to clients of SW Mental Health Service. .

I recently had a 5 day holiday for a family get together, and I had a friend from Sydney stay in my unit to look after my cat as I could not take here with us. Sadly, one of our neighbor's put a note on her car window, that she was not allowed to park the car there, and that she had been reported to Department of Housing. the spot she parked in is a spare spot, and not parking has been officially allocated to tenants. I spoke to dept of housing about this, and was told it was quite ok for me to have a visitor stay, and for them to use that car space and that they would notify all the tenants of this. But to date nothing has happened, and I have another trip away coming up soon, and really don't want this to happen again. Any advice would be appreciated.

Never felt so embarrassed in my life Hi my name is Ashley I'm 30yrs old and I've been struggling so bad where I'm about to break down and give up on everything and you probably wondering how I ended in this situation.. well my original plan that I left Ingham Queensland to go to Cairns airport and catch a flight to Victoria to be with my little brother cause I got out of a 3 years of toxic drunk relationship ... then plans change my little sister got kicked out with the person she was staying with and she had no where to go so she went and brought a tent and camping equipment and more than she stayed for 2 nights on Bramston beach Qld then she got help from the organisation wet tropic housing in Innisfail Qld and got put in hotels cause she has 3 beautiful kids and finally my older sister came from western Australia and she stayed for 3 nights and made dinner for her cause she look like she was starving then she took off on a Wednesday morning said she was going to help Madeline which is my little sister and never came back cause she on that site plenty of fish meeting random people and forgot about me out here she has changed to a different person since we all lost are dad 2years ago Ive been trying to get out of Bramston beach Qld for 3 months and just not getting any where sick and tired of calling Centrelink and jobseeker just going back and forth with them.. I'm fully qualified chef been working since I left high school and all the tax you pay and you just asking for some help but they can't do nothing if you're single with no kids and on jobseeker and no car car to get in town it's about 35klms to Innisfail Qld
