FOODCents Program - Australian Red Cross
The Red Cross FOODCents Program offers support to clients wishing to improve or extend their cooking skills, in particular in cooking healthy, low cost meals. Nurtition and budgetting tips are also covered, to show the client how to spend less food on money. The program is run predominantly within the clients home however can also be run in groups. FOODCents runs for 6 weeks at approximately 2.5hrs per week, with the sessions taken by trained volunteers. The meals cooked each week are chosen by the client Updated September 2008

Foodbank is a non-denominational, charitable organisation which sources donated and surplus food from the food and grocery industry to distribute to welfare and community agencies that provide food assistance to people in need. Foodbank Western Australia is a member of a national group of affiliated Foodbanks which includes operations in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Victoria.
