Freeway Church - Community Care
The El Shaddai College now known as The King's College, is on the same site as The Freeway Church - also formerly known as El Shaddai Christian Fellowship- is a Christian organisation whose outreach program includes CommunityCare(Bread Basket Ministry) Program :- provides emergency food relief. There is a dedicated building just behind the Freeway Church where the Bread Baslet Ministry operates each Wednesday. Also serves as a drop-in centre with couches to sit on and tea , coffee and a chat freely available. The centre is open from 9.30am and clients come and drop in their baskets and the Ministry volunteers will fill the basket with fresh food and other groceries according to availablity. A $5 contribution is requested but not essential to delivery of service.

Inter-agency volunteers , co-ordinated by Kaye Unkovich of DCP, and the HAY committee who together run the emergency/crisis house. Each client is then assessed to meet all their immediate needs. Housing is funded by DCP under the SAAP Program for more long term needs. Emergency Relief, Food/Shelter, Fuel Assistance. Service run by volunteers. Can contact police on 000 for emergency/crisis help with accommodation who will then involve DCP.

Hi my name is Malika, i am in desperate need for some food, i have spent my last on my car as i need the vehicle to get me from work to pick up kids from school and back home, otherwise i couldtn get anywhere, if anyone would be able to help i would very much appreciate it, as i got my own rental at a very young age i am finding it difficult to put food in our mouths aswell.. any help would be very helpul at this very moment.
