Trained and life-experienced befrienders give callers time to reflect on their troubles and re-order their priorities, discussing personal options which their deep seated worries had not previously allowed them to see. This vital and empathic service is provided freely, in confidence and without judgement or personal prejudice. Callers sometimes find family and friends are not able to cope and listen without imposing these on the discussion. and it can be safer and more empowering for YOU to speak with an independent listener at Lifelink Samaritans in your moments of confusion and great need.
