Hills Community Support Group
The Hills Community Support Group Inc provides services in the Swan, Mundaring, Kalamunda and Eastern Region areas for frail older people, people with disabilities, Carers and Youth at risk. Services for eligible older people include: Home Support Services, Centre-Based Services held in Mundaring, Koongamia and an Aboriginal program in Middle Swan and Respite for Carers, in-home, out of home, for crisis situations, seven days a week. Mobile services provide shopping and day trips for socialization. Support can be through the following programs Home Community Care, Veterans Home Care, National Respite For Carers and Community Aged Care Packages (alternative to Hostel Level care). Opportunities also exist for a self funded program for 'well' seniors to meet and enjoy new experiences with like-minded people. Carers are catered for through Carers programs providing Counselling/Support, Information and Advocacy, and short breaks away.

Activ's services are as a HACC provider( also in MSW) ; has Sitter Services(9528 4711), does recreational activities, provides family support, has many respite facilities throughout metro area (Lockett St 9371 1222 ; other respite 99371 1222) and has day care centres in Variety Pelican in Bayswater and Cruise St, Rockingham and provides employment alternatives for their clients. Also provides transport (9387 0549) and library and info services. The HACC services provided are :-centre-based day care, respite care in and out of home ,especially in dedicated respite houses, and social support.

I'm a single mum to a 10 yr old boy, Zayden.
We live in Melton, which is in the west of Melbourne.
I urgently require assistance.
Food vouchers would be absolutely ideal and a petrol voucher.
I have to drive my son to and from school.
He is back from school camp today and my registration was due the day he left for camp. Another $100+ I just don't have.
Once my rent is paid there isn't enough left to survive.
This week is extra tough.
Once bills are direct debited I'm lucky to get food for a few days.
I have no family to get help from and zaydens dad doesn't support zayden at all.
Every time I ask for help from places locally I have to be assessed and it's so much stress going through all your troubles being advised to see financial advisers. It's so depressing going through the same thing each time.
I keep getting referred to Orange Door. They seem to help everyone else I've spoken to without having to relive and go thru your depressing present reasons why you require help quite indepth they go. Which is too stressful.
They have left me without assistance on a friday left me with no help because I'd spoken to more than 1 person there they were confused and just left me with nothing.
My phone is playing up so can't receive calls always so they just didn't send vouchers they'd told me they were sending..
It's just so stressful having to explain your story all the time.
