The aim of the program is to enable frail aged and people with a moderate to severe disability to remain in their homes for as long as possible. Modification and minor maintenance for HACC target group to level 1 and 2 which includes internal/external ramps and rails; hand held showers; tap turners; adjusting hot water service; widening doorways; securing rugs and cords; repairs to gutters, windows, doors floors, steps and pathways; minor plumbing and electrical work; advice on building related matters; bathroom rails and lawn mowing. Fees subsidised at the rate of 45% for our builder and at 35% for sub contractors (e.g. electrical) and other staff. Hardship cases can make application for special government funding. SERVICES NOT PROVIDED: lopping or cutting down of trees; repairs to electrical appliances or white goods; painting; gardening; work which falls outside the scope of HMLM/N.

I recently had a 5 day holiday for a family get together, and I had a friend from Sydney stay in my unit to look after my cat as I could not take here with us. Sadly, one of our neighbor's put a note on her car window, that she was not allowed to park the car there, and that she had been reported to Department of Housing. the spot she parked in is a spare spot, and not parking has been officially allocated to tenants. I spoke to dept of housing about this, and was told it was quite ok for me to have a visitor stay, and for them to use that car space and that they would notify all the tenants of this. But to date nothing has happened, and I have another trip away coming up soon, and really don't want this to happen again. Any advice would be appreciated.
